🏔 Summit Tier
These are, in my opinion, the best of the best. A few key qualities help them stand out and justify the higher price. These brands often have things like strong warranties, solid environmental credentials, and thoughtful design touches. These are often pieces for life, built to be put to the test.
🌲 Trailblazer Tier
Perfect for most situations, these brands offer great performance but may lack the robust warranties or sustainability focus of the Summit Tier. They might not last a lifetime depending on usage, and may miss some refined details like pockets that stay accessible when wearing a harness (Something I'm sure we are all concerned with....right?).
🥾 Basecamp Tier
Everyone starts here. These are ideal entry points, offering reasonably good gear at accessible prices. They may not last forever or feature the latest materials or highest waterproof ratings, but they’re good enough to get you outside and started on your journey.
